Problem Note 61753: Errors occur in SAS® Enterprise Guide® 7.1 when you try to open and save projects to certain network drives
One of the following pop-up errors might occur after you try to save a project to a mapped drive that references a Microsoft SharePoint folder location:
An error occurred saving the file. The file type being saved or retrieved has been blocked
An error occurred saving the file. This file is checked out or locked for editing by another user.
Also, when you try to open a project that is saved to a mapped drive that references a SharePoint folder location, you can see this pop-up error:
You will not be able to save the project because you do not have write access to the project file or the folder where it was opened. You can use SAVE AS to select another location.
These issues occur after you update with SAS Enterprise Guide 7.15 Hot Fix 2 or a later hot fix.
This issue does not occur in previous versions of SAS Enterprise Guide or when you work with projects that have mapped shared locations that are not SharePoint folder locations.
Workaround
You can save the SAS Enterprise Guide project to another location that is not a SharePoint folder location.
Also, you can remove the SAS Enterprise Guide 7.15 Hot Fix 2 update via the Windows Control Panel. In the Installed Updates window, delete the relevant update file (7.100.6112).
